Notice how the fabric is woven in and out of the bottom rope cording, as the fabric design continues further out the base. This was done so that the surrounding Santas were not cut off during making the base. I have fabric wrapped several rounds of rope, in accent colors, to tie it all together.
i channel the fabric to the rope base to add unification and sturdiness. I do not use any type of adhesive as other crafts may use.
