"Butterflies n Bows" Sewing Basket SIZE: 10" rim; 8" base; 6" depth
This is a "one of a kind" coiled rope sewing basket. Elegant and posh! If you look closely at it, you will see many techniques were used in its construction. An exceptional handmade gift which can be used to store jewelry and love letters, or family photos from days gone by. Place keepsakes such as a clipping of your baby's hair or dried flower petals from prom.
I have used a muted lavender lily print for the inside base, outside bottom, and even as ribbon wrapped on the top of the lid.
A large stiffened lace bow, which I made on my embroidery machine, tops off the lid design.
You will find 4 butterflies attached to this basket. The two larger ones are embroidered with the top butterfly stitched directly through the rope lid. The other inside one has been embroidered and then fancy cut and stiffened, You will find two other small butterflies. One is attached to the inside of the lid, plus the last one is perched to the outside rim of the lid. I have made all of them!
The metallic ribbon is threaded over the cotton rope, making a glittery design.

Towels: All embroidered towels can be put in the washer and dryer as I have already preshrunk the fabric before embroidering on it.
Bowls: I have taken the extra time and care to snip off the extra threads and stabilizer from the bottom lf the bowls. So no other action is needed.
Towels: Extra thread has been removed from both the front and back of the towel. Most of the stabilizer has been trimmed closely to the embroidered design. The remainder of the stabilizer will dissolve with the first washing of your towel.
